Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of Econo Lodge in El Cajon, but luckly I still remember something out of it. Our room was upstairs, room number 232.
There was a window in the room, but the scenery wasn’t much: our room was in the darkest corner of two corridors, so our scenery was to dark wall. That’s shame, because in the court yard there was also a nice looking pool (shame that the air was little bit too cold for me to swim). Room was pretty much you ordinary Econo lodge. Floor carpet was little bit dirty and there were some cobwebs in the ceiling. Service was OK, there was WiFi and there was breakfast and fridge in the room. Room condition was OK and so was the location. Nothing over exciting, just you’re typical OK. Bed was big and nice to sleep in.
Breakfast was quite OK. For breakfast there were couple of different toast, butter and jam, sweet pastries and 3 different cereals, apples, oranges and juices and coffee. What makes my day, is the waffle iron. I don’t care of dry toast or raisin muesli, so without fresh, warm waffles my breakfast would have been slim. I really recommend every motel to buy waffle iron. Easy way to keep visitors happy.
Cleanliness 2,5 / 5
comfort 3,5 / 5
condition 3 / 5
location 3 / 5
all together 3 / 5
(Hotels.com, where we booked the room, tells the avarage rate to be 3,2 / 5, so we were little bit more tighter on the rating). We paid $64,90 in Hotels.com.
I think the room was little bit too expensive for the price, but that said, it was little cheaper then other rooms in the area. The Pool and the Breakfast makes things little bit better.
